What the record says
Thymosin beta-4: one controlled human trial, and it missed its endpoints
The controlled human trial of thymosin beta-4 that reached publication randomised 72 subjects with moderate to severe dry eye 1:1 to Tβ4 or placebo over 28 days. Neither primary endpoint — ocular discomfort or inferior corneal staining at visit 5 — differed significantly.
Clin Ophthalmol 2015;9:877–884 ↗Secondary measures did move: discomfort scores in the controlled-adverse-environment model were 27% lower than placebo at day 28 (P = 0.0244), central and superior corneal staining improved, and no adverse events were observed.
Clin Ophthalmol 2015;9:877–884 ↗That human work was done on the eye. The form sold as a research compound has no published human trial behind it in this record.

Compared with BPC-157 10 mg: BPC-157 is sold alongside it as the other recovery compound, in the same vial format. Documentation differs: BPC-157 rests on 35 preclinical studies and one retrospective series, this one on a single 72-subject trial.
